The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service between January 18, 2019 at 5 a.m. and January 19, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Pedestrian hit by car
A man was hit by a car Friday morning after he attempted to cross the street outside of the crosswalk.
Belleville Police say the incident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. at North Front Street and Donald Street.
The man was taken to Belleville General Hospital for minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Business break in
A 41-year-old Belleville man will appear in court at the end of next month to face charges in relation to a business break and enter.
Around 11:30 last night (Friday), Belleville Police responded to an alarm at a business on Hanna Court.
Officers noticed a door ajar and a pry bar and hatchet nearby.
Paul Laroche-Davidson was arrested inside the building without incident say police.
He is facing charges of break and enter with intent and possession of break-in tools.
Animal bite
Belleville Police are looking for a ‘large dog’ after a man was taken to hospital this morning after being bit.
Police say they were called to Dundas Street West between Sidney and Wilkie Streets around 12:45 this morning after a 50-year-old man required medical attention.
He was taken to hospital by paramedics with a large gash in his leg.
The man, who had been drinking, could only describe the animal as a large dog.
