Belleville Police responded to a total of 39 calls for service between 5 a.m. yesterday and 5 a.m. today.
Among those, a mid-morning report of a man waving a large knife on a balcony on College Street East.
Officers spoke to the man and took him into custody without incident.
The 35-year-old is facing charges of weapons dangerous to the public peace and was held for a bail hearing tomorrow.
Nobody was injured.
