The Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte and District officially has a new home.
The ribbon was cut on SAC’s new facility at 250 Sidney Street, inside the old Nortel building, on Thursday.
Executive Director Elise Hineman tells Quinte News, along with updated decor and a more workable space, the new centre’s location on a major bus route will make it much more accessible.
She adds that the new space will hopefully re-energize and comfort the people who use their many services.
The Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte and District serves more than 400 people per year.
