He’s been all across the United States and Western Canada over the past two years and now Mr. Moosey is visiting the Quinte Region.
The stuffed moose was given to a police officer, by a young girl in Pennsylvania and since then, has been passed around to various police and other emergency services as s symbol of protection and arrived at CFB Trenton’s 21 MP Flight this week.
MP’s Corporoal Jason Barnim and Sergeant Matthew Tremblay brought Mr. Moosey by the Quinte Broadcasting Studios on Tuesday, to tell us a bit about his history and their plans to tour him across Ontario and beyond.
Corporal Barnim tells Quinte News they’re thrilled to be a part of “Mr. Moosey’s World Tour” initiative and to recieve the pin-covered stuffed animal.
Sergeant Tremlbay says while Moosey usually spends about a week in each jurisdiction he visits, he may be spending a little bit more time in our region, since there are so many different first responders and military personnel in such a small area.
Sergeant Tremblay adds the initiative has created “an amazing sense of community” among first responders across the continent.
The MP’s say there are some “big plans” in the works that can’t be divulged at the moment.
