Peterborough County OPP say a male and female are dead after a snowmobile accident on a lake south of Apsley.
OPP were called Boxing Day morning after two bodies were found in Jack Lake.
The unidentified snowmobilers had not returned from a ride and were last seen at 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
Their bodies were found about 30 feet from shore.
OPP remind people to be cautious and avoid driving on lakes as the ice now is often not thick enough to support any significant weight.
