McInroy Maines- Major Midget
The McInroy Maines Major Midget Red Devils took 4 of 4 points on the road this weekend in against the North Central Predators and Barrie Colt respectively. In the race for a playoff spot in the tight east division, the team has kept pace with those around them.
Saturday December 8 vs. North Central- 6-4 win.
Goals- Curtis Dicks (2), Cole Mcguire, Khaden Henry (3)
Sam Dingle- 33 saves for the win
Sunday December 9 vs. Barrie Colts 4-0 win.
Goals- Curtis Dicks, Kyle McMechan, Gavyn Stevenson & Jaxen Boyer
Matt Maas- 31 save Shutout.

Free Flow Petroleum- Minor Midget
The Free Flow Petroleum Minor Midgets tallied up 3 points this weekend with a win and a tie and spread some Christmas cheer along the way.
Saturday the Minor Midgets hosted the Oshawa Generals at the Family Dental Centre. Along with a win, the boys participated in a very successful toy drive for the Professional Firefighters of Belleville.
Quinte found themselves trailing Oshawa 1-0 all the way into the third period when things finally got moving for them. Luke LaPalm scored a power play goal in the first minute of the third period with assists from both Connor and Zack Brooks. Clayton Farrow scored the game winner a few minutes later with a beauty pass from Gavin Camp, Jett Butler also credited an assist. Luke LaPalm would follow his first goal with two more for a hat trick with assists to Zack Brooks and Ben White (2). Final Score 4-1 for Quinte. Ethan Fraser was in net for the win.
Sundays home game in Madoc had the boys matched up against the Richmond Hill Coyotes. Richmond Hill was first on the board in the second period but Quinte quickly tied it up with a goal scored by Luke LaPalm, with assists to Nathaniel Burelle and Clayton Farrow. The Coyotes regained the lead in the third and were looking to steal the win when a late power play goal by Ben White (Connor Brooks and LaPalm an assist each) tied it up. Quinte would go home with a point for the tie. Alex Lucas kept the team in the game with his stellar net minding.
Up next the Minor Midgets host the Peterborough Petes at 7:45 at Quinte Family Dental Centre. Come and Cheer on the team!
Pita Pit- Minor Peewee
The Pita Pit Minor Peewees hit the road on Friday to take on the Clarington Toros. The Red Devils were down 2-0 but goals by Ben Laird, Carter Chadwick and Rylan McCormack gave the Devils a 3-2 lead. The Toros tied it late with a power play goal but the Red Devils came right back with a late power play goal scored by Ben Sherwin. Reece Herman got the W in the Devils 4-3 win.
On Saturday Quinte played York Simcoe at the Wellness Centre. The Red Devils battled back to tie it at 2-2 but YSE would score late to defeat Quinte 3-2. Goal scorers were Ben Laird and Ben Sherwin. Liam Boyer was in net for the Devils.

The Pita Pit Minor Peewees head to Wolfe Island to take on Kingston in an outdoor game on Sunday at 2.
A.Walsh Fencing- Novice
On Saturday the Devils traveled to Richmond Hill for an afternoon game against the Richmond Hill Coyotes.
The first period was a defensive battle as both teams would not register a shot on net. Richmond Hill would open the scoring on a breakaway goal in the second period and take a 1-0 lead into the third period.
The Devils would mount a comeback and score three goals in the third period and go on to win the game 3-1.
In Goal for the win was Nathan McDonald

On Sunday the Devils would host the first place Peterborough Petes in Madoc. The devils would score late in the first period to take a 1-0 lead into the second period. In the second period the Devils would add two more goals and take a 3-0 lead into the third period. The Petes would add one goal in the third, but the Devils would go on to win the game 3-1.
In Goal for the win was Nathan McDonald.

At just over the half way point of the ETA regular season. The Walsh Fencing novices sit with a 13-3-0 record for twenty-six points and in second place in the ETA East division, with four games in hand on the first place Petes.
Next weekend the Devils travel to Ottawa for the Sens Classic Novice Tournament.
Foley Bus Lines- Major Bantam
The Foley Bus Lines Major Bantams had 1 win and 1 loss this weekend.
On Saturday the Devils hosted the Oshawa Generals. Oshawa was sitting in first place with 30 points and your Devils were only one point behind at 29. The Devils would open the scoring at the 3 minute mark of the first period. Just 2 minutes later they would net another and take a 2-0 lead going into the second. The second period saw 7 goals between both teams. The Generals netted 4 and the Devils 3. The third period was all Quinte as they scored 4 more times and won the game 9-4.
On Sunday the boys travelled to Richmond Hill for their second match up of the season with the Coyotes. The first period was held scoreless and it wasn’t until the 2 minute mark of the second when the Coyotes would score the first goal of the game. They netted their second goal with only 1 second left on the clock in the second. The third period started 2-0 for the Coyotes but the Devils would score with 4 minutes to go in the game to bring them within 1. With the Devils net empty the Coyotes would net 2 more and take a 4-1 win.
Next home action is Saturday against the Peterborough Pete’s @ 3:45pm at the QSWC (FDC Pad).
The Pond at Rhino Sports & Playland- Minor Atom
The Rhino Sports Minor Atoms traveled to Hamilton to participant in the 2018 Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs Annual Classic Tournament.
Game 1- On Friday, the team faced off against the Guelph Gryphons. The boys came out strong and scored five goals. Chase Cybulskie and Ryan Foley each had one and Brody Harrison scored a hat trick! Charlie Vos got the 5-3 win in net.
Game 2- Up next, the boys took on the Oshawa Minor Generals. Goals were scored by Maclean Chisholm (x 2) and Brody Harrison. The final score was 3-0 and Daniel Yeo got a shut out in net!
Game 3- The first game of the day was against the Chatham-Kent Cyclones. Goals were scored by Brayden Davidson, Jake Gawley, Jonas McCoy and Brody Harrison. The team was on a roll with their third win in a row. Final score was 4-0 and Charlie Vos got a shut out in net!
Game 4- The boys were looking to keep their winning streak going when they played the hometown, Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs. Goals were scored by Jake Gawley, Brody Harrison and Seth Scaletta. Brody Harrison also put another in the empty net to finish off the game with a 4-2 win against the Bulldogs.
After four consecutive wins, the Minor Atoms were moving onto the semi-finals!
Game 5 (Semi-finals)- The Rhino Sports Minor Atoms went up against the undefended Grey-Bruce Highlanders for the semi final game. It was a fast paced game and the boys went one for one against the Highlanders. Goals were scored by Jake Gawley, Grayson Hunt, Gabriel Davis and Nate Rashotte. The score was 3-4 for Quinte but with 6 seconds left in the game the Highlanders put one in our net, tying the game at 4-4. Then in overtime, the Highlanders scored first and took the win. The team worked hard and should be proud of themselves for a successful tournament!
Bonn Law- Minor Bantam
The Bonn Law Minor Bantams had two games this past week which resulted in a tie and a loss for the team.
On Wednesday, the Devils hosted the Kingston Frontenacs for a mid week tilt. The Devils would take a 2-0 lead in the game on goals by Ethan Quick (assisted by Jack Dever) and Christopher Brydges (assisted by Dever & Quick), but the Frontenacs came out with a strong third period to score two goals of their own and the game ended in a 2-2 tie. Liam Murphy handled the goaltending duties for the game.
The Devils took to the road on Saturday to take on the Clarington Toros in their home barn. The game remained scoreless until well into the third period before the Toros managed to squeak one by Devils’ goaltender, Aidan Crowley. The Toros then added an empty net goal to make it 2-0 and then scored a quick one off a draw in the final seconds of the game to hand the Devils a 3-0 loss.
The Minor Bantams look to bounce back this Sunday when they host the Whitby Wildcats on Sunday at the RCAF.
