The development company FairTradeWorks is appealing a recent decision by Marmora and Lake council to reject a plan for a 20-unit condominium project.
The residential building would be built in Marmora’s downtown on Forsyth Street.
Back in November many on council supported the general idea of more residential in the village but had serious concerns with the amount of parking being proposed and the traffic congestion concerns because the development was linked directly with Highway 7.
Hastings County council had previously passed the FairTradeWorks proposal. FairTradeWorks filed their appeal with Marmora and Lake last Thursday.
The company’s appeal will be dealt with by the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal at a future date.
