The Laval Rocket don’t score much but they don’t give up much either. Such was the case last night as they squeezed past the visiting Belleville Senators 2-1.
Byron Froese broke a 1-1 tie at 14:15 of the second period when he took a pass from Donald Audette from behind the net and fired it past Sens goaltender Filip Gustavsson.
Shots on goal were 21 aside in a low key game game. Belleville coach Troy Mann liked his teams play.
Logan Brown scored the B-Sens lone goal on the power play at 17:54 of the first period when he snapped a shot from the left circle past Laval netminder Charlie Lindgren .
Brown wasn’t surprised at the conservative nature of the game.
Belleville play their next 4 at home beginning tomorrow night when they host the Utica Comets (Vancouver Canucks) at the CAA Arena at 7:05. Fans are asked to bring a non perishable food item to the game in support of the Gleaners Food Bank.
Belleville entertains the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers) on Saturday night.
