Pita Pit- Minor Peewee
The Pita Pit Minor Peewees took part in the International Silver Stick tournament this weekend. They faced the Mississauga Senators on Thursday. The Red Devils took the loss in this one 4-0.
On Friday night Quinte hit the ice against the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs. The Red Devils outworked and outplayed the Chiefs but couldn’t buy a goal in a 1-0 loss.
Liam Boyer was solid in net for the Devils.
On Saturday the Devils pulled out a 2-1 win against a top ranked team from the USA the Midfairfield Rangers. Ben Sherwin started out the scoring with assists to Kaiden Harmon and Deke Osterhout. Sherwin scored again with a rocket that went top corner from Carter Chadwick and Mason Boyer. Reece Herman was strong in net for the win.
Later on that night the Devils fell to Hauppauge PAL Jr Islanders 5-1. Lone goal came from Harmon assisted by Osterhout.
On Deck
The Pita Pit Minor Peewees play Peterborough in Belleville on Saturday and travel to Whitby to face the Wildcats on Sunday.
Foley Bus Lines- Major Bantam
On Saturday it was a much anticipated rematch of the OMHA finals from last year. The York Simcoe Express visited the Devils on Saturday. The Devils would score 1 goal in the first, 2 in the second and 3 in the third. The Express lone goal came in the second. Final score was Quinte 6 and York Simcoe 1.
On Sunday was another great match up against one of the top teams in the West, the Ajax Pickering Raiders. Your Devils would find the back of the net first on a power play at the 12:30 mark of the second period. The Raiders would answer back with one of their own PP goals late in the second to tie the game. The third period was a hard fought battle between the teams with neither team scoring. The game ended in a 1 – 1 tie.
The regular season is half over and your Foley Bus Lines Major Bantams have a record of 12 wins, 1 loss and 5 ties giving them 29 points.
Your Devils are away this weekend at the Clarkson Varsity Cup. Next home game action is against the Oshawa Generals December 8th @ 3:45pm at the QSWC (FDC Pad).
The Pond at Rhino Sports & Playland- Minor Atom
The Rhino Sports Minor Atoms took on the Richmond Hill Coyotes on Saturday. The first goal of the game was scored by Grayson Hunt (assisted by: Ryan Foley and Maclean Chisholm) late in the first period. Early in the third they got their second goal scored by Keegan Goulah (assisted by: Brayden Davidson and Jake Gawley). The third and final goal was scored by Nate Rashotte (assisted by Brody Harrison) to give the Red Devils a 3-1 win over the Coyotes.
Sunday saw the devils take on the visiting Peterborough Petes. It was a hard fought game, but the devils couldn’t get one pass the goalie! Quinte lost 1-0 to the Petes. Next action sees Quinte face off against the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs in Frankford on Wednesday and the Oshawa Generals on Saturday.
Bonn Law- Minor Bantam
The Bonn Law Minor Bantams had a tough weekend, losing their first two games of the season. In home action on Saturday, they were downed 4-0 by the Barrie Colts who currently sit in first place in the West division. The physical contest resulted in a split series between QRD and Barrie for the regular season. Aidan Crowley and Liam Murphy shared goaltending duties for the game.
The team then travelled to Peterborough on Sunday to take on the Petes for the second time this season. Although the boys worked hard, they fell short in the 4-2 loss. QRD goals were scored by Ethan Quick and Tyson Carr with assists to Jack Dever and Duncan Schneider. Liam Murphy was in net.
The boys look to bounce back this week with games against Clarington Toros, Markham Waxers and York Simcoe Express.
Madison Excavating- Major Peewee
The Madison Excavating Peewee team had a busy week with four games and recorded 8 points with 4 wins.
Game one of the week was a midweek match up against the Clarington Toros at the CAA Arena. The Devils opened up the scoring in the first with a goal from Liam Philip, assisted by Landon Wright. The Toros answered back scoring 2 and taking the lead, but it wasn’t long before Beckett Ewart tied it up for Quinte, assisted by Ben Danford and Carson Campbell. Brody Partridge would score the go ahead goal in the third on the pass from Campbell. Ewart would add the final goal. Mike McIvor was in net.
Friday had the Devils on the road for their only away game of the week to face the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs. Gage Butcher opened up scoring in the first, assisted by Thomas Kuipers and Danford. The second set saw Quinte add another 3 in their favour with goals from Wright(2) and Kuipers. Assisting in the second were Grayson Jin, Ewart(2) and Deacon Ellis. While Kingston would sneak one past the Quinte netminder, it was the only one as the Devils added a 5th in the third, Braedyn Roger’s from Ben Vreugdenhil and Danford, to make it a 5-1 victory. Dean Spry was in net.
The first of 2 weekend home games was Saturday on the FDC ice playing host to the Whitby Wildcats. Quinte was down by a goal until the second set when Roger’s scored the first of the game, assisted by Danford. The third saw Quinte battle back and forth with the Wildcats and added 3 to the scoreboard to take the final 4-3 win. Scoring in the third were Wright, Rogers and Vreugdenhil. Assisting were Vreugdenhil(2), Jin, Jared Langdon and Ewart. McIvor was between the pipes for the win.
The final game of the weekend was a match up against the Barrie Colts on the CAA Arena. The first period would end in a 0-0 tie. Langdon would open up the scoring in the second on the set up from Danford and Campbell. Wright would add another assisted by Campbell. Barrie continued to challenge but Quinte would add 2 in the third from Vreugdenhil, assisted by Wright and Campbell, and an empty netter from Ty Therrien to make it a 4-2 win for Quinte. Spry stood tall in net.
The Madison Excavating Peewees will host the Oshawa Generals and York-Simcoe Express this upcoming weekend.
Free Flow Petroleum- Minor Midget
Red Devils faced stiff competition at the International Silver Stick in Whitby this week.
The Free Flow Petroleum Minor Midget team travelled to Whitby this Thursday through Saturday to compete in the International Silver Stick. The team went 0-4 against some very tough competition, two American teams one GTHL team and one SCTA team.
Final scores were. 2-1 Detroit Compuware (at time of article this team will be playing in the finals), 2-1 Pittsburgh Penguins, 7-2 Toronto Nationals and 5-0 Hamilton Jr Bulldogs.
Stats for the weekend are as follows: Goals Daniel Michaud (3), Ethan Broek (1). Assists came one each from Nathaniel Burelle, Hunter Hall and Dalyn Wakely.
Ethan Fraser and Alex Lucas shared goaltending over the weekend.
Next Action has the boys facing off against the Kingston Jr Frontenacs this Wednesday at 7:45 at the Quinte Family Dental Centre. Come and cheer them on!
McInroy Maines- Major Midget
It has been a difficult week for the McInroy Maines Major Midgets finally ending their losing skid on Sunday November 25th, with earlier losses to the Clarington Toros and Central Ontario Wolves. The team hopes that they have put this rut behind them and they will use the last half of the season to solidify playoff position in a tight east division.

The KKP Major Atoms played two games on the weekend.
On Saturday the Devils hosted the Barrie Colts and lost 7-2. Scoring for the Devils was Kaden Koutroulides and Connor Fetterley with assists going to Owen Rivers and Cooper Kelly.
On Sunday the Devils travelled to Peterborough to face the Petes where the Devils lost 5-4.
Scoring for the Devils was Fetterley (2), Jack Foley and Owen Rivers with assists going to Kolby Craig (2), Blake Leblanc, Ryland Cunningham, Foley and Cooper Kelly.
Up next the Devils play four games this week, home to Clarington Toros and Whitby Wildcats and away at Kingston Jr Frontenacs and Markham Waxers.
