So far so good as far as the legalization of marijuana and health care at local hospitals goes.
The Interim Chief of Staff for Quinte Health Care Dr. Colin MacPherson says to date there has been no
discernible difference in the number of people coming to emergency departments due to problems caused by
marijuana.
Dr. MacPherson says that while most people just enjoy the effects of pot without issues, a minority of people can suffer from
psychosis and other illnesses that require medical treatment.
