For the second time in three years the Prince Edward Collegiate Panthers have won the Central Ontario Girls Senior “AA” basketball championship.
Mikayla Leavitt, Jesse Swackhammer and Vanessa Wilton scored 14 points as they defeated Holy Cross of Peterborough 64-45.
PECI moves on to the Ontario High School championships next week in London.
The Centennial Chargers are the COSSA “AA” football champions after a 31-0 rout of Holy Cross. Mason Duval and Ford-Facette-Grondin scored two touchdowns while Nick Young kicked a field goal and 4 converts.
In the Junior “AAA” final, I.E. Weldon of Peterborough defeated the Centre Hastings Centurions 51-41.
