Benjamin Allard Robitaille stopped 24 shots for his first shutout as the Trenton Golden Hawks blitzed the Whitby Fury 3-0. Ethan Cardwell had a goal with two assists while Jacob Campbell and Cameron Gaylor scored the others. The win moves Trenton one point behind the second place Fury in the OJHL’s East Division.
In Wellington the Dukes came within a whisker of being shutout as they fell 4-1 to the visiting Burlington Cougars. Tyson Gilmour broke the goose egg at 18:58 of the third with his 9th of the year.
In Junior “C” hockey, Nicholas Nabuurs turned aside 19 shots to backstop the Napanee Raiders to a 5-0 rout of Port Perry. It was the third shutout of the season for Nabuurs.
And the Uxbridge Bruins blanked the Picton Pirates 4-0.
