A man and woman from Frankford are facing charges after Belleville police investigated a suspicious vehicle in a Bell Boulevard parking lot yesterday afternoon.
The vehicle, a 2003 Jaguar, was suspected to be linked to a stolen purse that contained credit cards that had been used at various locations. The purse was stolen September 8.
Further investigation yesterday showed that the Jaguar had two different licence plates and a check on those led to officers realizing it had been reported stolen to Durham Police September 28.
Belleville police arrested the man and woman near the car yesterday.
Susan Hannah, 36, of Frankford was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, theft under $5,000, and three counts of breach of probation.
A 38-year-old Frankford man was wanted by Quinte West OPP on a long list of charges. Belleville police charged him with possessing a stolen vehicle, seven counts of fraud under $5,000, theft under $5,000, and three counts of breach of probation.
Hannah appears in court October 25. The man appears at a bail hearing today.
