The Special Investigations Unit has cleared all charges against a Northumberland OPP officer.
SIU Director Tony Loparco has determined there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges in relation to the serious injury sustained by a woman.
He says the injury was caused by her medical condition.
The SIU was called in to investigate an incident that took place earlier this month in Picton.
OPP officers were called to assist paramedics with a 54 year-old woman and when officers and paramedics arrived the woman became violent and refused treatment.
The woman was brought under control and then treated and transported to the hospital.
