The Centennial Chargers saved their best for last as they scored all of their points in the second half to rally past the St. Theresa Titans 17-7 in Bay of Quinte High School senior football.
The Titans had a 7-0 lead at halftime following a Nick Kennelly pass to Dylan Palmateer at the goal line. However the Chargers responded with 17 unanswered points in the second half. (Details on the Charger scoring were not available.)
Centennial and St. Theresa have 1-1 records.
In High School girls basketball Brigit Bechevaise scored 26 points and Jane Goyer added 21 to lead the Nicholson senior Crusaders over the Centre Hastings Centurions 59-35. Nicholson completed the sweep with a 40-27 win over Centre Hastings in the junior contest.
And Centennial took both ends of a girls rugby double-header with North Hastings. The Chargers won the seniof game 20-0 after defeated the Huskies 25-22 in the junior tilt.
