The Trenton Golden Hawks first game at the OJHL Fall Showcase Tournament in Buffalo was a 2-1 victory over Brampton.
Tyler Ignazzitto and Steven Elliott scored with Curtis Abbott assisting on both. Benjamin Allard Robitaille stopped 27 shots.
Trenton plays Newmarket this afternoon.
The Wellington Dukes fell 2-1 to Aurora to split their two games at the Showcase. Dawson Ellis had Wellington’s goal. Ollie Lafreniere turned aside 35 shots. The Dukes are home to Trenton on Friday night.
In junior “C” hockey, the Lakefield Chiefs whipped the Campbellford Rebels 11-0.
