Belleville Police have laid various charges against a trio of men after executing a search warrant in the city’s east end today.
The warrants were served in relation to a search for property stolen during a break-in at a business on Highway 62 in late August.
Along with that property, the Belleville officers, the OPP Tactical Response and Community Street Crime units also seized a large amount of cocaine, heroin and fentanyl, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, cash, scales and syringes.
Twenty-two-year-old Cody Challis-Payne of no fixed address, 36-year-old Jason Clancy of Belleville and 32-year-old Drew Stone of Belleville are facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime, three counts each of drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
Stone is also charged with possession of a loaded prohibited firearm.
They were all held for a show cause hearing in Belleville court and police say additional charges could be laid as the investigation continues.
