The Trenton Golden Hawks got a later start to the OJHL season than most other terams but they jumped in with a pair of weekend victories.
Dylan McMahon scored 3 as Trenton edged the Georgetown Raiders 3-2. McMahon isn’t surprised at the Golden Hawks perfect start.
Golden Hawks assistant coach Colin Birkas says McMahon is a noted goal scorer.
Benjamin Allard Robitaille stopped 24 shots. Trenton hosts Burlington on Friday.
The Wellington Dukes fell 5-4 in double overtime to the Brampton Admirals. Madoka Suzucki scored two for Wellington with singles from Nick Abbott and Jacob Vreugdenhill.
The Dukes fall to 3-1-0-1. They travel to Kingston Thursday night then host Mississauga on Friday.
In the Provincial Junior “C” League last night, the Amherstview Jets clipped the Campbellford Rebels 5-2.
