Two cannabis companies appear to be eyeing the former Nortel building on Sidney Street in Belleville.
This week Quinte News toured 250 Sidney Street, which has 300,000 square feet.
The site which used to house Nortel, and less than a handful of other businesses, now has upwards of 20 companies which have set up shop in the last few months.
They include the Sexual Assault Centre, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Continuing On in Education, and QuinteVation.

Farren Drafting, Lot 48, Computers For Kids, EuroCan Financial, Voice Directed Tally Systems, Susan K Bailey, Laporte Engineering, Community Organizer Support and Prevention, Mimi Max.
Avaya continues to have the largest space, but there is still about 150,000 thousand square feet available.
Toronto Capital owner Frank Mondelli says the process still continues to bring cannabis companies into the fold.

He says his company, along with an external business are eyeing the property for cannabis R&D and analytics.
No cannabis would be grown by either company.
Mondelli explains what is being proposed.
His joint company would be operational in the spring of 2019, if given municipal zoning approval.
The external company would want to come in as fast as possible.
When asked if it was Abattis Bioceuticals, the company that originally had signed a lease, Mondelli would not comment.
It is likely that discussion before council would not happen until the new year, with a new city council.
