If Quinte West council gives its approval, there will be a new place for snow taken from streets and sidewalks to be dumped starting next year.
Quinte West’s Public Works Committee is recommending a vacant unused property off Aikins Road be used as a snow dump starting in 2019. The land is near the CP rail tracks north of Bayside Secondary School.
Snow has been being dumped near the Trenton hospital and near the Frankford Tourist Park.
Both of those sites would no longer be used.
