The 24th playing of the “Haggarty Cup” took place at the Bay of Quinte Golf Club this weekend.
Following a season long qualifying process, 18 Players and 2 Captains on each of Team Haggarty and Team Mills took part in a Match Play Format that included Alternate Shot, Four Ball (Better Ball) and Singles to determine who would get to hoist the Haggarty Cup and enjoy a meal courtesy of the losing team
When the dust had settled Team Mills, under the leadership of Captains Robert Martin and Bob Kitchen, mounted a comeback in the final day Singles Matches to take home the trophy (19 to 17) and take bragging rights into 2019 which will see the 25th Anniversary of the Championship.
