A late goal in the third period and an early goal in overtime lifted the Trenton Golden Hawks past the Kingston Voyageurs 3-2 in an OJHL pre season game.
Curtis Abbott scored in the final second of regulation to tie the game leading to Paul O’Doherty’s winner 37 seconds in o.t. It was O’Doherty’s second of the game.
The Golden Hawks are 3-2-1 in pre season play. They host Kingston tonight at 7:30 at the “Dunc”.
The Wellington Dukes close out their exhibition season tonight against Cobourg at the Lehigh Arena at 7:30. Game time is 7:30. Wellington is 3-0 in exhibition play.
The Dukes and Cougars will meet again next Friday in the OJHL’s season opener.
