The swimming team from Belleville led the way for District 10 with 19 medals at the Canada Senior 55 Plus National Summer Games in Saint John New Brunswick.
Dwight Bronson swam to 4 gold medals with Sandy Boyle earning two gold and two silver. Sean Landis won a gold and 3 silver medals. Also reaching the podium in swimming were Catherine Steele, Carol Lovelady and Gloria Hogue.
Sheram Barker of Belleville won a silver and bronze for Track and Field. And the Women’s Hockey Team from Napanee lost 1-0 to Alberta in the Bronze medal game.
Also competing was Belleville’s Lea Lake in golf.
District 10 includes the area from Picton to Bancroft and Trenton to Kingston.
