Fresh off becoming the youngest player to ever win the Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club Men’s Championship, 14-year-old Kendrick Webster finished 5th in his age group in Ontario.
The Carrying Place native shot a 6 over par 148 at the two-round Ontario Bantam Under 15 Championship at Sawmill Golf Club in the Niagara area. Webster was 10 shots behind the winner Alex Long of Toronto.
Cameron Pero of the Picton Golf and Country Club tied for 17th with a 156. Caden Holmes of the Napanee Golf Club shot a 163.
The event included the top 60 golfers in this age group in the province.
In Victoria British Columbia, Rob McCracken finished at 11 over par at the Canadian Men’s Mid Amateur Golf Championship. McCracken golfs out of Bay of Quinte.
