The Belleville Senators have added size to their left wing.
The B-Sens have signed 25 year old free agent Joe LaBate to a one year American Hockey League contract. LaBate, who’s 6-5 and 208 pounds, was a 4th round pick of the Vancouver Canucks in 2011 and played 13 games for the NHL team two years ago. The rest of his pro career has been with the Canucks AHL team in Utica where he scored 22 goals, 25 assists with 248 penalty minutes in 145 games with the Comets.
