It was a perfect start for the host team as the Canadian Under 19 Fast Pitch Championships began in Napanee.
The Napanee Express breezed to a pair of victories on opening day with a 9-0 romp over Quebec following an 11-1 rout of Shelbrooke Saskatchewan. Brendan Hagerman was 5 for 7 in the two games for Napanee. Riley Manion was 3-3 in the win against Shelbrooke.
The Express face Colchester Nova Scotia this morning at 11 and Caledonia tonight at 8 at the Napanee Fairgrounds.
