An inmate at Millhaven Institution is facing attempted murder charges following an incident at the prison back in June.
A joint investigation with the OPP, Kingston Police and Correctional Services Canada have led to 28 year-old Jessy Oakley being charged in the attempted murder of a 31 year-old inmate.
Oakley appeared in court in Napanee on August 8 to face charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The investigation is ongoing.
