Arrested on warrants
On August 5, 2018, at 8 p.m., a 27-year-old Belleville man was arrested on College Street East on the strength of an outstanding warrant. The charges included sexual assault and sexual interference. He will appear in court on August 30, 2018.
On August 6, 2018, at 1:51 a.m. a 35-year-old Belleville man was arrested on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop on Parkdale Drive. The charge was for criminal harassment. He will appear in court on August 30, 2018.
Drinking Drivers
On August 5, 2018, at 6:20 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on Pine Street. The driver, a 21-year-old Belleville man, was issued a seven-day licence suspension. This was his second licence suspension as his previous licence suspension was for three days.
On August 5, 2018, at 9:25 p.m., a 911 caller reported an impaired driver on North Front Street. The car had driven over a curb before entering the drive-through line of a restaurant on North Front Street. Officers blocked the car in the drive-through and the driver was arrested for impaired driving. Thirty-nine-year-old Christian Selmys of no fixed address will appear in court on August 23, 2018 on charges of impaired driving and over 80 mgs.
Disturbance
On August 5, 2018, at 6:20 p.m. officers attended at a residence on West Street regarding an unruly guest who refused to leave. A 21-year-old Kingston man was arrested for failing to leave the premises when directed under the Trespass to Property Act. Alcohol was a factor in this incident. He was issued a provincial offence notice.
