It came down to the final minute as the Quinte Skyhawks rallied to beat the Huronia Stallions 19-15 in the Junior Varsity division of the Ontario Football Conference in Barrie.
Trailing 15-5 in the third quarter Skyhawks quarterback Carter Stephens connected for touchdowns to Scott Flemming and Isaac Shire, the latter with less than 40 seconds left in the game. Tom Cavan kicked two converts.
Skyhawks coach Peter Gabriel says his team never gave up and showed a lot of heart and character.
Quinte improves their record to 2-4 in their inaugural season in the Ontario Football Conference.
