A veteran search and rescue pilot is taking over command of 437 Transport Squadron at CFB Trenton.
Lieutenant-Colonel Diane Baldasaro took over from Lieutenant-Colonel Leif Dahl during a change of command ceremony on Thursday.
Lieutenant-Colonel Baldasaro served with 435 and 436 squadrons on various search and rescue, air-to-air refueling and tactical airlift missions, with tours in Afghanistan and was instrumental in the crew force transition from the CC-130H to the CC-130J Hercules.
She also served as a flight instructor at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, was 8 Wing’s Deputy Wing Operations Officer in 2014 and was most recently posted with the RCAF Aerospace Warfare Centre.
The Colours is transferred to Lieutenant Colonel Diane Baldasaro during the Change of Command ceremony on June 28, 2018 at 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario.
