Three events down and just the Provincials to go in Ontario High School Track and Field.
East Northumberland’s Sam Hall and Nicholson’s Nate St. Romain were Senior double medalists at the East Regional Track and Field championships in Kigston. Hall won gold in the high jump and silver in the 100 metres. St. Romain claimed gold in the 400 metre hurdles and the 800 metre dash.
Caden Deery of St. Paul Secondary was a double gold medalist in the midget boys 400 metre and the 300 metre hurdles. Allison MacDonald of East Northumberland Secondary earned gold in the senior girls triple jump. Isaac Hollinger and Jared Milligan from ENSS were gold medalists in the midget boys 1500 and triple jump resepctively.
The Blue Dragons team of Jared and Sam Hall, Ben Snider and Reece Herrington set a record in the 4 X 100 relay.
Nicholson junior Rory McGarvey won a silver and bronze while East Northumberland midget Gavin Camp also earned silver and bronze.
The OFSAA Track and Field championships take place Thursday and Friday at York University in Toronto
