After finishing third at the World Women’s Ball Hockey Championship in the Czech Republic a year ago Canada looks to regain gold in two weeks in Moscow.
Team Canada has won the championship 4 out of 6 times and Belleville’s Jami Adams has been part of three of those World Women’s Ball Hockey titles. After a few years off, Adams re-joins the Canadian squad. Adams hopes her previous experience will help the team.
As there is no training camp, players have to prepare on their own. Adams has been working out since October.
The Czech Republic and the U.S. finished ahead of Canada last year. Slovakia, Italy and Great Britain are the other countries competing.
