The Ottawa Senators have signed veteran defenceman Patrick Sieloff to a 2 year 2 way contract.
The 24 year old Sieloff could have become a restricted free agent in July. He was a standout on the Belleville Senators blue line this season scoring a goal and 9 assists with 108 penalty minutes in 58 games. The native of Superior Michigan was named Belleville’s defenceman of the year. Sieloff also played one game with Ottawa and scored.
Sieloff will average $700,000 U.S.a year if he plays in the National Hockey League and about $150,000 per season with Belleville in the AHL.
