A Central Taxi driver has a court date at the end of the month after being arrested for impaired driving.
Early this morning, around 12:30, Belleville Police responded to a report from staff of a restaurant on North Front Street, informing of an impaired driver at the drive-thru.
The cab was located nearby and the driver was arrested.
Once at the station the male driver refused to provide breath samples.
Forty-year-old Jamie Michael Moore of Belleville was charged with impaired driving and refusing to provide breath samples.
His cab was impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
He will appear in court on May 31, 2018.
