Belleville Police Service responded to 63 calls for service from the May 7, 2018 at 5 a.m. to May 8, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Vehicles entered
A number of vehicle were entered overnight Sunday in the Hillcrest area of town. Among the items stolen were victim’s identification, an iPod and cash. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact The Belleville Police Service or Crime stoppers.
Dogs in vehicles
With the warmer weather approaching, dog owners are being encouraged to take proper care if leaving their pet in a parked vehicle. Owners are reminded that temperatures can rise sharply inside parked cars in a short period of time
Mischief
On the May 7, shortly after 7 p.m., police responded to a disturbance call on Bridge St. W. Â Investigation revealed that a 15-year-old male had smashed out a window in a residence during the course of an argument. The Belleville youth was arrested and released a short time later on an appearance notice charged with one count of mischief under $5000 with a June court date. There were no injuries sustained during the incident. The identity of the accused cannot be released due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
