Thanks to expansion and re-alignment in the American Hockey League the Belleville Senators will welcome a new team to the Yardmen Arena next season.
The Cleveland Monsters, the top affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets will move from the Central Division to the North where they’ll join Belleville, Toronto, Laval, Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton and Utica.
The B-Sens did not play Cleveland this season as they were in the Western Conference. The Monsters play their home games at Quicken Loans Arena which they share with the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers.
The AHL expands to 31 teams next season to mirror that in the NHL.
