The Georgetown Raiders responded from a 6-1 beating in Wellington Monday night with an even bigger 8-0 trouncing of the Dukes in game 3 last night.
Georgetown made the most out of whistle happy officials scoring 6 times on 9 power plays while Wellington went 0 for 8. Dukes Assistant Coach Derek Smith wasn’t surprised by the Raiders effort.
Georgetown outshot Wellington 47-36 with former Erie Otter Troy Timpano picking up the shutout.
Despite the setback Wellington still has a 2-1 lead in the Buckland Cup Championship Series with game 4 at the Essroc Arena tomorrow (Thurs) night at 7:30.
