The Essroc Centre was packed with over 1,100 fans last night and they came away happy as the Wellington Dukes skated away with a 3 – 0 win over the Aurora Tigers.
Wellington now has a 3 games to 1 lead in the Northeast Conference semifinal series.
Dukes Assistant Coach Derek Smith said his team played aggressively from the opening faceoff and managed to get a couple of quick goals, which was important.
Bryce Yetman scored two for the Dukes while Declan Carlile netted the other. Wellington can win the series Sunday night in Aurora. Broadcast time on CJBQ is 7:20.
