A Quebec man was arrested following an assault at a Quinte West business on Wednesday.
Quinte West OPP officers responded to the scene, where they found an employee had been assaulted during a shoplifting incident.
A 37-year-old man from Quebec was arrested and charged with one count each of assault, theft under $5000, and failing to comply with an undertaking.
The man is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in Belleville Court Thursday.
