Quinte West were leading 2-0, when Erie North Shore scored on the power play in the second to make it a one goal game.
Vince Bellevance scored late in the third period while short handed, to give the Hawks the insurance marker they needed.
Hawks head coach Ted Sheil says that goal was a big relief for the team.
