There was a fiery argument early this (Friday) morning in Belleville, literally.
Belleville police report a 21-year-old woman went to the west end apartment of an ex-boyfriend and after an argumen,t sprayed a diesel fuel conditioner throughout the apartment and in a stairway.
It’s alleged she set the stairs on fire and was scared off when a tenant from another apartment building rushed in to see what was going on. He put the small fire out quickly.
Police arrested a woman nearby. No one was injured. The incident occurred at around 2 a.m.
