The Wellington Dukes barely have time to catch their breath following their game 7 overtime victory over Newmarket Tuesday night and now it’s time to go back to work. The Dukes are in Aurora to open the OJHL North-East Conference final series tonight.
These were the top two teams in the conference during regular season with the Tigers finishing 4 points ahead of Wellington. They split the 4 game season series. Wellington captain Colin Doyle knows it will be another tough round.
Wellington has had to go the distance in each of their first two playoff rounds while the Tigers are coming off a 5 game win over Cobourg in their semi final. Aurora has been idle since last Friday.
CJBQ will have the play by play of tonight’s game from Aurora for Prinzen Ford Sales of Bloomfield at 7:20. Game 2 is in Wellington Saturday at 7:30.
