A small portion of water and land, that had no conservation authority oversight, is now in the hands of Lower Trent Conservation.
LTC spokesperson Marilyn Buckholtz says while governments were assigning boundaries for various conservation groups, a portion of land in the northern portion of Trent Hills never got assigned.
Buckholtz says now that has changed.
She says all of the municipality is now covered by LTC, but there is still an area in Havelock Belmont Methuen.
The area highlighted in purple is now under Lower Trent Conservation’s jurisdiction.
