Fast work by Belleville’s Fire Department kept a laundry room fire from spreading early Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to a residence at a townhouse development on Cascade Boulevard, off of Sidney Street, at around 2:40.
Residents in neighbouring units were evacuated and firefighters had the basement fire under control in minutes.
No injuries were reported.
