Three people have been arrested as part of an OPP drug bust in Centre Hastings early yesterday morning.
Members of various OPP specialty units, including the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and Emergency Response Team, raided a home on Union Road in Madoc, just before 6:00 a.m.
Officers seized crystal meth and marijuana.
Thirty-six-year-old Daniel Meadus of Madoc Tonwship is charged with:
- Trafficking in Schedule I substance – Methamphetamine- 2 Counts
- Trafficking in Schedule I substance- Opioid – 2 Counts
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-other Drugs
- Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis resin
- Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marijuana
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Aggravated Assault
Twenty-eight-year-old Kayla Brown of Madoc Township is facing charges of:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs
- Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Resin
- Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marijuana
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
And 27-year-old Christine Whiteman of Tweed is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs
Whiteman and Meadus were both held for bail hearings, while Brown was released with a court date later this month.
