Theatre owner Mark Rashotte says to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the theatre, he is bringing in a September music festival.
He believes it will have a classic rock edge to it. It will have a chaired section as well.
Meanwhile, for the July festival, Rashotte says it will be an all ages, fully licensed event, with NO CHAIRS. He says the type of acts and atmosphere call for a open site.
One dollar from every Empire Rockfest ticket purchased will be donated to the ” Field of Ability” project, which is a baseball diamond at Parkdale Public School, that would be fully-accessible.
