The Quinte Bonn Law Peewee Red Devils will have to settle for runner-up of the Chevrolet “Good Deeds Cup”.
The Pas Manitoba Huskies were named winners of the National award recognizing charitable and volunteer work in their respective communities. The Smiths Falls Bears were the other finalist.
Each of the 3 finalists have already received $5000 to be donated to the charity of their choice. The Huskies will get an additional $10,000.
Peewee teams from across Canada participated in the competition. The Red Devils advanced to the final round where the winner was determined by a panel which included Chevrolet, Hockey Canada and Chevrolet Hockey Ambassadors Mitch Marner and Caroline Ouellette.
