A Saturday traffic stop led to a drug arrest for Quinte West OPP.
Yesterday, an officer was on patrol in Trenton when they stopped a vehicle for a traffic related offence.
Upon interaction with the driver the officer entered into a drug investigation. With the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit a large seizure of marihuana and psilocybin (magic mushrooms) was made.
A 20 year old woman from Trenton is charged under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act with possession of Schedule 1 and Schedule 3 substance.
She is to appear in Belleville court on March 29th, 2018.
