Freezing rain warning in effect for:
Belleville – Quinte West – Eastern Northumberland County
Cobourg – Colborne – Western Northumberland County
Some patchy freezing rain lingering early this morning.
A fast-moving low pressure system currently approaching Lake Superior will reach Northern Quebec this evening. Some patchy freezing rain will be prevalent early this morning before tapering to a few showers.
This is a minor event with any ice accumulation expected to be light. Some cold untreated surfaces may become glazed and slippery until temperatures rebound well above freezing later this morning.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
