A former Quinte West Councillor has slid into a new role within the Municipality.
Rob McIntosh has been hired as the new Assistant Manager of Marina and Waterfront Facilities, following his resignation from council on Thursday.
The Marina Assistant Manager position is responsible for scheduling and supervising staff, taking the lead on event bookings in the gathering hall and this year is being tasked with increasing the offerings in the canteen.
MacIntosh has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having recently sold his café and catering business of over 20 years.
He’ll begin his new position at the Trent Port Marina on March 1st.
MacIntosh says in a press release he is looking forward to working with the team at the Marina and bringing valuable experience to the customer service role.
Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison says council will discuss its options for replacing McIntosh at its upcoming meeting on Tuesday.
